you are so young and have so many years ahead of you and you don’t have to worry about work and money and stuff like that …take advantage of that time kid and get better at what you love and if you can paint from real life good luck to you my friend

Yes, and I never said that we have to paint without understanding or learning anything, duh lolBut if one never practices he’ll gain nothing too…Dude I’m only 14 :P Started painting only 1 year ago and yes I have to admit that I gained much more from 2 weeks of painting with understanding, than half a year of random painting having no motivation etc.So basically I’m not denying the fact that you are right, because you are :P Best Wishes

your comment really isn’t fair because you don’t seem to know what your’e talking about because 1) it is hard … painting in general is hard 2)painting skills have nothing to do with photoshop … digital is just a painting medium just like oil colors , water colors , pencils etc … but painting skills have nothing to do with photoshop … if you can’t paint you won’t be able to paint no matter what medium

Ok maybe Im a bit exaggerating but it is entirely seemly that digital painting is easier. For example if you get proportions wrong i.e. eye at wrong place you can just drag it to desired location :P With traditional mediums it’s not possible of coarse. Furthermore it’s easier to ‘rub out’ anything you don’t like. You know what I mean?I know painting is hard but with practice (a lot of it) I believe many can do it. It’s just that most people are lazy…Good job anyway, I never said u r “lame”

i wouldn’t say digital is easier , it is more time saving , but it’s not easierbecause while correcting mistakes is faster a good painter would want to reach a level where he can avoid these mistakes in the first place about practice … to be honest while practice is important to be able to paint you need to learn to think in a certian way for example iv’e made a lot of progress since this video and i barely practiced ( all my videos are actually all the paintings iv’e done last year )

and iv’e made a lot of progress because with each time i have been painting i tried to understand more and more things if you just paint a lot but you don’t try to understand what you are doinjg and you don’t try to develop the way you think you won’t make any progress at all at paintingyou really have to think about what you are doing especially if you want to be able to paint from imagination

Nice but tracing directly over a photo in photoshop is not “painting”.

@ninjatanog nobody can draw a well known person without some reference or it would look like somebody else, you know what i mean?

i think this is not true actually i think it is possible to draw a certian person ( and i’m not talking about a caricature ) without a reference but it’s just really really hard i think i’m pretty close to reaching this level now and i will maybe try it someday i’m 100% sure it’s possible thoughi don’t know how many artists are capable of such thing but i’m 100% sure it’s possible
